I just met John Battelle offline at his Mountain View book signing. Isn't it a strange reversal that with the term "offline," reality has now become a referent to the Internet? At the event, he said that at 9pm, Google would be pushing something live, and he'd blog what, exactly, as soon as he got wireless connectivity. Well, I presume he's sitting at Red Rock right now, because he's written that Google is launching blog search. Somewhere, Dave Sifry is screaming. Or, chortling that his category has been validated and his acquisition by a Google competitor assured? Stay tuned. This is probably a propituious time for me to finally write a long-delayed post about the blogeconomy... coming next.
